Thanksgiving....

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday.  Tell us about it.  What did you do?  What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?  What is you favorite thing to eat?  What do you wish you did for Thanksgiving?

  1. My Thanksgiving holiday was at my Grandma's house. She had recently downsized to a smaller house, and so with 14 people to sit, she didn't exactly have enough space for 14 people in a 2 person house. SO, she thought the hillbilly way and we ate our Thanksgiving lunch in my Grandma's garage. My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is... well we don't really have any traditions except that our whole family goes to my Grandma's house. But, I do like to sit around and wait while the food is being cooked, because I love the aromas and socializing. My favorite food... I don't know if I can decide between mashed potatoes and gravy or rolls and butter. My least favorite is definitely the stuffing. I wish I was able to go to Alaska on Thanksgiving because it would be fun to build a table out of snow and have fresh caribou meat and traditional eskimo food like donuts! All in all, I had a ball on Thanksgiving.

  2. On Thanksgiving all of my family came to my house. My favorite tradition is every other year I go to California. My favorite thing to eat is turkey. I also really like mashed potatoes and ham. I can't decide. I wish this year I could have had pumpkin pie. I really like pie. Thanksgiving was fun.

We go on hikes and walks and that is fun to. We tack family pictures and more. This year we stayed at a hotel and it was very nice. There beds there so soft.I play and lot of games. My favorite thing to eat is the home made mashed potatoes and gravy.MY THANKS THANKS GIVING WAS SO FUN.

  4. We had fun on Thanksgiving doing nothing. I had pumpkin pie, but I didn't have turkey or stuffing or mashed potatoes. The pumpkin pie didn't taste good without whipped cream. I didn't really do much execpt draw a picture and read some really good books. I don't really have a Thanksgiving tradition because I never really do much. Other than that it was fun.

  5. I had a ton of fun on Thanksgiving. I went to my cousin's house and had mashed potatoes, turkey, rolls, and a ton of other random things. My 3 cousins, my brother and I actually ended up chasing cats on their roof because they escaped from the house. Thankfully the house was climbable and flat where the cats were. After that, we played a game. The game was someone hides and the others have to find them and once they did, they had to run back to "basse". Then we played a game called cranium where you have to either act out a person, hum/whistle, or draw without looking. That was fun then we had to leave. I had an awesome Thanksgiving but I had another with my grandma it was nice but a little boring ;).

  6. Thanksgiving was great and very fun. On tuesday I had to go to my violin lessons. Afterwards I went to the grocery store with my dad. My house was totaly crowded. On wednesday when I got up I played minecraft for a little bit. My mom asked me to help around the house. My cousins
and my aunt Heahter, Uncle Larry, and my five year old cousin Tyler came. By around 2:30 I turned on the TV to watch the last episode fo season two of The Walking Dead. Unfortunately my cousin Faith came so I had to turn it off. That totally stunk. I went on the computer to watch some Minecraft videos. My other cousins came. I decided to go upstairs to my laptop and play minecraft. My mom adventually made me get off the computer and hang out with my cousins. That was a little agravating. All my cousin Tyler wanted to do was play faries. UGHHHHHHHHHHH!
I tried to play minecraft more but my cousin Morgan would get me off the computer somehow. On Thursday my other cousin Alicia and her boyfriend, Drew came. My uncles mother and sister, Joe and Colin came. Thanksgiving was great. My favorite thing was mashed potatoes and ham. I didn't like the turkey that much. For desert we had bunned cakes. They were very good. My favorite was redvelvet. On friday my cousins Faith, Morgan, Alicia, and Drew left. Larry, Heather, Tyler and I went to Grandma Joe's house. Okay she really isn't my grandma. I just like calling her that since I don't have any grandparents. When we got ot her house we met her new dog Binnie. My Aunt Heather, tyler and I went on a golf cart ride. The golf cart ride was awesome. Next we went to Colin's house. She had a chickens and a swing. i thought the swing was nice. She had a adorable dog named Ruby. Ruby is also death. Unfortunately Colin put up a fenece for the chickens so if they got out of the coop they wouldn't get. So you could not swing as high anymore. When I was on the swing for a little bit she would say it was her turn and she'd tell Heather than I wasn't letting her have a turn. We adventually left and went back to grandma Joe's house. I went on a golf cart ride with Larry and it was silent, peaceful and nice talking to him. When i got back to Grandma Joe's house I had a hotdog. After I finished my hotdog and went to explore the wash. When i came back it was about time to go. When we left Grandma Joe got Binnie and got in the golf cart to go to the dog run. When we were driving home Tyler was watching Secret of the wings. UGHHHHHHHHHHH! On Saturday Heather, Larry, and Tyler left. That night I went ot the challenger space center for Stargazing for everyone. It was good. On sunday I went with my dad to go hiking at Pinnacle Peak. Then I went to Five Guys. I went home ate my burger and practiced my violin. I went to bed and read my book for an hour. That's my Thanksgiving.

  7. Over Thanksgiving my family and I cooked the most delicious dinner! We stayed home and watched a movie called Dog Companion (don't recommend it). Our family traditions are so many! We always have turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, and stuffing! This year's turkey we made by ourselves and it was one of the best turkey's I have ever tasted! We still have some of it left over. As much as I liked the turkey, my favorite would be the mashed potatoes! We all smashed it but it was still a little lumpy but who cares! Mashed potatoes are my second favorite food. I wish we would have gone somewhere like California but were going there in the Summer. But it would have been fun to do so many great things there. I know we would have never got to make our own turkey, though. I'm just so happy that we weren't part of Super Storm Sandy (SSS) and celebrated Thanksgiving in a hotel. I love Thanksgiving and I know my dog does, too!

  8. My thanksgiving was a blast. We ate a ton of turkey at my grand parents in Utah. After dinner we had pecan pie, and pumpkin pie. We went on hikes, and watched the hunger games. We also watched some of the games that were on that evening. In addition we had a long , long car ride. That was my vacation for thanksgiving.

  9. OMG my thanksgiving was so fun. Some of my cousins got to come and we had the biggest blast. Our thanksgiving feast was enormous. We had a turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes two types of cranberries, a bowl of vegatables, corn, and to finish it off ten amazing pies. We have so many pies because every year a lot of my relatives come and we love pie my favorite has to be chocolate pecan. But the others are still so scrumptios. After eating a ton of pie and eating the best food me and my older cousins get into really comfy clothes and watch the Grinch. It is may favorite tradition we have done it every year ever since I was little. Usually I can stay up for the whole thing but this year I stayed up to late and fell asleep have way into the movie. Thats one of the many traditions we do but my next favorite is once my family sits down for dinner we al go around and say what we are thankfull for. Out of everything we have at the table my favorite thing to eat is the mashed potatoes and gravy even though I love everything the mashed potatoes are so fluffy and buttery. Also the gravy is so warm tasty. Also before we watched the movie we made a fire in our fire pit and me and my cousins started singing songs and one of my cousins was playing a guitar. It was so fun. I don't think there was anything more I wanted because I was thankful for all my cousins and the wonderful meal that we had.

  10. This Thanksgiving I had some family come over. We ate turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sourdough bread, stuffing, and salads. I wish we could have a longer time off school. My favorite food was the mashed potatoes and gravy. We also went to downtown Scottsdale and ate at a restaurant then ate ice cream. I had the best thanksgiving.

  11. This thanksgiving I had a fun time. I had turkey corn and rolls. My favorite food out of all of them was the rolls. My family on my dads side and I went to my cousin Jamie's house. It was super fun and I saw my little cousin to. My favorite tradition for thanksgiving is having a nerf war with all my friends at my dads apartment complex. My thanksgivings are SOOOOOO fun.

  12. For thanksgiving, we drove to my gramdma and grandpa's house which is in Chandler. The drive wasn't too bad, only like an hour. When we arrived, we settled in and went to sleep. We woke up to a huge breakfeast, and then we just waited for the evening to arrive. When it finally did, we had cheese rolls, wheat rolls, turkey, green beans, home made mashed potatoes, gravy, apple cider, and a huge bowl of laughter. After the great feast, we watched hours of tv. When it was time to go to bed, I thought to myself, this was a great thanksgiving.

  14. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving a TON this year. First, I got to skip three days of school! Don't take that the wrong way, though. I LOVE school. I got to go to the Atlanta airport, too! But my favorite part was getting to be with my family in North Carolina. I got to be with my mom's whole side of the family, which incudes my grandparents, my aunts and uncles, and even my great grandmother! Usually, my favorite part of a thanksgiving feast is a turkey, but this year, fried chicken was at the buffet and, well, I went nuts! I LOVE Thanksgiving!

  15. This Thanksgiving that I had last week was definitely the best Thanksgiving ever! And I really mean it! I loved it! First we had dinner at my grandparents house and we had turkey, broccoli that was unrealistically delicious, mashed potatoes, gravy that my mom made with mushrooms in them, and my personal favorite, the CRANBERRY SAUCE! I love the cranberry sauce with my turkey! ANd after we played some cards and board games. It was really funny, and after dinner and games, we had cheesecake. The reason that this Thanksgiving was so wonderful and awesome is because I have never laughed harder in my life! And the sad thing is that there is no possible way to explain it, and have it actually make sense. So when my grandma were going to get our delicious dessert, homemade cheesecake, my grandpa and my mom were doing something and they kept laughing and waving their hands and my grandpa were pretending to pray and they were making the funniest motions and faces, and I was in the bathroom while they did this, and I interrupted them right in the middle of it and participated, and my brother did not know that they were just trying to trick him and we could not stop laughing, and oh, my brothers face: priceless! Just the look on his face was so funny I almost fell off my chair. Our heads were thrown back in laughter and enjoyment. See, makes no sense to you at all, but when I saw in front of me, it made a lot more sense. And yes, I have a crazy polish family. This thanksgiving was the best Thanksgiving EVER.

  16. On Thanksgiving I didn't do much it wasn't the typical Thanksgiving day because no one was really that happy (someone had past away and we were going to have the first part of the funeral the next day). Anyway so the day of my family had my Uncle, Aunt and their baby come over for brunch. After eating we all were just sitting around and hanging out so Olivia (the baby she is two now) wanted to watch Nemo since we had it. So she sat down to watch the movie and all of a sudden she starts crying. We ask her why and she said, "Nemo! Nemo gone!" So obviously she was sad that he was gone. After they came over we went to my dads best friends house and we had dinner. When we went over I saw that they had the prettiest puppy he was 7 weeks old and named Leo. Any way we had dinner there and then went over to my Nana's and hung out with my cousins and stuff then my dad left with my brother and my cousin to go watch Red Dawn. After that me and my mom went to the church that that my Mama Pepa went to and we helped set up the Thanksgiving dinner that we were going to have on Saturday as a family. So basically that's what happened.

  20. For the first time on Thanksgiving, we went out to eat at Mimi's. Their turkey dinner was delicious. My favorite Thanksgiving foods are mashed potatoes and stuffing. I wish our Grandma came, though. She didn't come because just a few weeks ago she flew over here for our brother's confirmation. Our Thanksgiving was great!

  25. Well I don't have any Thanksgiving traditions but my favorite dish would have to be the pumpkin pie. I like the turkey a lot but pie is just the best. Me and my mom cooked all Thanksgiving because we cook all the vegetable dishes and the pies and my gramdma cooks the turkey, the stuffing and a couple other sides. We had Thanksgiving at my grandma's house but another thing we did all morning was watch the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade!!! Oh, and I know this may sound silly but while we were driving to me grandma's house you know what we listening to? Christmas music. See what I mean, we are ahead of the game already. (In reply to Danielle's post) I MISS YOU TOO DANNI!!!!!!

  31. On thanksgiving my family and I went to the hotel my dad works at to eat thanksgiving dinner. It was AMAZING there was almost any kind of thanksgiving food you imagine. I ate a TON of turkey . The best part of the dinner was the pumpkin pie. Afterwards my family and I went back to our house for 1 hour. Then we went to Black Friday at midnight. We went to Best Buy to get a Blu-Ray player for our TV. The line literally went OUT of the store. When I was trying to find the end of the line, some old lady hit me with her TV and got in the spot in line where I was going to. After, leaving Best Buy my mom dragged me to Macy's in Paradise Valley Mall. She looked around for an hour before we came out of Macy's. Right outside of Macy"s, some teenagers were throwing cans of Coke with holes poked around the can. Then my family finally got back to our house around 3:30.

  32. My favorite part of thanksgiving is being in the kitchen and making the food with my family. But the one that far exceeds that is that I get to spend the day with my family. Our tradition is that we like to wait till everyone had there food then we all have a drink of apple sider then we can have a bite to eat. My favorite thing to eat is the stuffing and mashed potatoes. But pumpkin and apple pie are a close second. I wish that thanksgiving was longer so that I could spend more time with the people I love.
