Would you rather be banned from all computer use for a year (including any device that gives you internet access) OR not be allowed to eat any desserts or sweets for a year?
What would you miss most of the one you chose? Would you do anything special to compensate for your loss?

If I had to choose between no computer for a year or no sweets for a year, it would be sweets. I would choose this because the internet can teach you a lot of things and sweets can make your teeth go rotten. A computer could help you remember what you had for homework and you can find a textbook online. Sweets could make your stomach feel bad and make you get all hyper. I would go with the computer because I don't really like candy too much. The computer has fun games and sites where you can learn. I would choose the computer because it rocks! :D
ReplyDeleteWow that is a very difficult one but I honestly have to choose no sweets. Why, because I could not live my life without my computer, literily, I would die with out it. Plus I totally agree with Karas' position on the fact that sweets make your teeth rotten and really we would all look good after a year of no sweets right? Well, sort of because without sweets there's still cheeseburgers. I would also choose my computer because without my computer I wouldn't even get most of my homework done and then I'd get fined, a lot, and nobody likes getting fined. But now an odd thought just came to mind, Mrs. Toenjes never said that the year had to be in order. So suggesting that since a year is 365 days long what if you did a month of no sweets but computer allowances and then a month of having sweets and so on and so on. But the point is you could skip around since she never said spasiphicly the way the year had to go and with that being I have to admit I still wouldn't change my thought on the matter. Plus in my opinion computers rule well so does candy and ice cream but I think we all could live without it because think about way back when they didn't even have candy well, that wouldn't be fair because they wouldn't know how great it tastes so they wouldn't know they were missing anything but say you had one piece of candy and then they stopped making candy you and the entire rest of the world would be able to live without it even though if that was true there would be no such thing as Halloween. But then if computers weren't invented life would be at a definite disadvantage. But that may not be the opinion of others because others may just love the enviorment and want to have nothing of to with all this technology. But once again opinions are opinions.

If I had to choose between no sweets or computer for a year, I would pink sweets. I'd pick those because ypu actually need a computer for a lot of things like homork or checking progress on a package. You don't really even need sweets. They are just mainly colorful sugar mixtures. Now, I'm nit against sweets, I love them but they really aren't useful. I also chose computer becuase people like to computer games. They help with hand-eye cordination. Computers are addicting which is a downside but right now, I wouldn't be doing my blog without a computer. That is also why I chose no sweets for a year. But people may disagree. But I like hearing everyone's opinion.

I would choose giving up internet for a year because I really like candy, even though that I would probably need internet. Evan though I would really miss not being able to look things up quickly and accurately. Also I would miss computer games, I love computer games and it would be a trouble to give up, but for desserts, i definitely would. Instead of the internet to keep me entertained, I would like to get into music more, maybe playing the piano or something. And, you can control how much dessert or candy you eat, so your teeth wouldn't get rotten if you didn't eat a lot. If the world didn't have computers everyone might work off all of the candy they eat because they would go outside more and exercise, and also spend more time with family,etc. Candy needs to be saved, computers don't!

Candy is good.But I like technology a little bit more than sweets.What I would miss about he computer is the music and other awesome websites. I can't live 1 day with out using my phone.I love technology!!!!!

Wow this one is really hard. But honestly I would have to go a year without any sweets . I could not live at all without a computer. Also candy and sweets can rot your teeth and I want my teeth to look nice.Plus most of my homework is on a computer. So that means if I don't have my assighnments that would not be good. And I would get fined and who likes getting fined. Also the Internet can teach you very knowledgable things. But also for Halloween you wouldn't get candy but to parents that would be a good thing. Also for me too. Another thing is you can't play any games on a piece of candy or any sweet thing but on a computer you can. That's another plus for a computer. So in my opinion computers have waaaaay more tally points than candy. But I'm not saying I don't like candy though. I just think computers are better than any kind of candy. ReplyDeleteI would go without internet for a year. I would not be able to go without candy, or desserts, because they are so delicios. I would do anything you can do online, and do it i books. In school if you pay attention you can learn it all. Also if you need help you can ask a friend. I know tht candy is not very healthy, but somtimes we need suger. that is why I would have candy over computers.

I would chose that because I dont really have that many sweets now and it would be hard without a computer.I know that there is more to life then electronics but I am so used to having them that it would be hard. But i'm not that type of person who is absolutely obsessed with my computer like I could go a couple day without it but a year would just be too hard. I would rather have the internet instead of sweets for many reasons. One reason is if you don't know anything than you just google it. Also you wouldn't be able to Email anyone!!! I would not like not internet. I would also want sweets because I can't go long without candy and sugar. I just couldn't do it. It would be hard to go that long without sugar. One year is a long time. So basically I don't like either of the choices.

If I had to go without sweets or computer it would be sweets. I would go without sweets because they are extremely unhealthy. You can get lots of cavities. They're delicious but interenet is a use to resarching things. I wouldn't be able to play games such as Minecraft and create things and fight monsters such as creepers if I didn't have internet.
ReplyDeleteI would rather eat peaches and apples. Healthy food is much more tasty. I enjoy researching things and learning stuff about things. It would be very fun to use internet and look up things. If I saw an animal and I didn't have internet I wouldn't be able to learn anything about them. I would be miserable without computer. I like looking up things about animals such as rattlesnakes, mountain lions, prehistoric past, and tons more. Sweets are great but the internet is more important. Internet is fun to play games and look up stuff.

If I had to choose between no candy or computer. It would be candy because I can't live without the internet I have to check my Facebook and chat with my friends. I could live without candy and desserts because I don't eat them, if I do then it would be a little amount. Plus, I never eat lunch to begin with and I usually eat a big dinner. I also always play music on YouTube. Most of all, I need the internet for looking stuff up.

If I had to choose between candy and computer, I would give up candy, because if you ate candy all day, your teeth would be weak all the time. I use the computer all the time. Although I don't have Facebook (I don't want one anyways) I still listen to music, watch videos, and research things I want or need to know. Candy would be a good choice, but after a while, wouldn't you get fat and die? I think you would. Imagine a 300 pound kid always eating candy. That wouldn't be a good sight. Also, computers can help you learn new things, and refresh your memory on what you already know. You're stuck there if you chose candy. And best of all, some conputers can be taken anywhere you want, so you can look up things whenever! As you can see, I would for sure choose computers over.

I would rather not have internet access for a year because candy is my feul! And it makes sense because well, I'm a kid! Plus, I can still play video games, just not online! Sure, it would be hard, but who needs that computer when you can just go outside? I really love skateboarding, too. And that is why I would choose sweets over Internet access! WG

I could if I want to, but I'm someone who would want to have it, but wont have the apatite to have it. Computer on the other hand would probably be more my choice. I always use the computer for things like Blog and games. So, no question about it, Computers it is.

Between losing sweets or internet access, I would choose going without candy. I could not go without the internet for one year. The internet is used for school projects and video games. To compensate for not having candy, I would eat fruit. Fruit tastes just like candy. Maybe even better(in my opinion). The internet is like having several books on your desk. That is why I would rather lose candy than the internet for one year.

If I had to choose between internet or candy I would Choose internet.I would choose it because internet can last longer then candy.Candy can go old and internet can't. Internet is is better then looking in a book I do not like looking in books it takes so so LONG.Also candy is very bad for you it can make you get cavities and that would be bad. I absolutely LOVE both of these choices, but I have to say, I would rather not have sweets or dessert for a year than no technology. Just because technology gives you everything. Even books! You can search anything on the internet and that is what is so amazing about the internet. And, if I didn't have any sweets or desserts, it would really suck and be terrible, but it would be healthy to not have candy for a year. But a whole year is such a long time!!! I really don't think that I would last without either one for a whole year, but if somebody was pointing a gun to my head and told me that I HAD to chose, then I would choose to not have candy or dessert or any sweets for a whole year. :-/ But of course that would probably never happen and THANK GOD IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN, but at least hat it is a fun thing to think about! :) But I don't think that I would die without candy for a year, but I would die without internet for a year!

I would choose between candy and coumputer I would be banned from coumputer because I can't go with out candy. Plus I could last a week without candy but not a year. Also we have Halloween for a holiday for a reason. Also candy help you get up in very long morning. Plus I will die if I have no candy for a year because I think I am half candy. GRIFFIN
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose between the two I would have to go without candy for a year. Though I love candy so very much I love the computer and wifi more. I love wifi more because if I didn't have any internet access I would not be able to do a lot of my homework. Another reason is that I would rather be healthy without junk in my stomach. Also I don't eat candy a lot because my mom doesn't like me eating cant because it is not that healthy for you. Plus you cant play games or watch videos with candy but you can play games with a device. That is why I chose living without candy for a year not internet access.

I also would not be able to do my online homework! The games on computer would be my biggest loss. And I would not be able to update my ipod. But that is OK because I already have lots of good music on it. I just got my braces off today, after a year and a half of pure torcher; I could not have any yummy chewy candy or gum. I love Dip 'n Dots and many other treats too much to give them up for a year!

I would choose having candy banned from me for a year because you have too have the internet to find ,play , explore ,and more.The candy will be hard to give up because I love choclate chip cookies and I dont usally have them but I would choose candy to be banned from.You could get more healthy and more protien in you body the eating sugar all the time.I use the internet for everything like this I am typing this.I also use the internet for research,games,music,school,church directions and more.I know alot of kids love sugar but I love the internet I wait for my dad to get home so I can play on his phone(IPhone).

I would definetly lose candy for the year. We need the internet for fast free facts and answers in the world. I can live without candy for a year, but I need the internet for stuff like typing this up. I think that everyone needs a computer or laptop or any device so you dont have to carry a dictionary or encyclopidia everywhere. All candy dosen't taste great either. Also, I would not want to loose the Internet because I could not be typing this right now and I would be getting fine after fine for not doing blog. And they are both luxuries but I think the Internet is more important because it is so much easier for projects and things like that. Also, most devices Therese days are powered by the Internet or depend on the Internet in some way. Lastly because that is how I get my intertainment.

I would live without candy because I have lasted a year without candy before and I don't like candy that much. I don't like sweets that much and I use the internet more and I love the internet. I use the internet for a lot of things like to look up stuff. Today I used the internet for Hummurabi and Gegamesh and we learned a lot of things. Some candy taste bad and some candy I am allergic to so the internet is more usful and you can search what ever you want on the internet and you can learn about stuff on the internet but somtimes the internet can have wrong information but still I use it. I rather have the internet because it's more usful and it's better and I don't like candy and that's why I would rather live without candy. Ethan

I would also use the internet to do certain homework and check my homework. Or even if I missed one of my favorite shows I can always watch it online. Not having candy for a year would actually help me with staying fit and not getting cavities.

I would rather choose internet to keep. This is my desision for three reasons. One i'm on the internet mostly every day. Reason #2 I dont like candy that much except for ALL CHOCOLATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reason #3 I could'nt ever go without internet how am I supposed to do my homework? Here is my response to what I would rather give up. I would give up candy because the internet is my life and social life. I can't live without the internet. I use it for so many different reasons. For instance I use it to check my grades, check my email, Facebook, and do my homework. I could live without candy because I hardly eat candy anyway.
