During this week's Field Day, you have a perfect opportunity to practice Sportsmanship. How will you (or did you) show Sportsmanship on Field Day? What are you (or were you) most looking forward to on Field Day?
If you were unable to participate, please write about the important qualities of Sportsmanship. What would you do to show this if you were there?

I would show sportsmen ship by cheering everyone on during races like relly or the 600.I am looking forward to the relly race because I like to be on teams and not all ways by my self.I am actully hoping that we can play a lise I really lttle game of football during feild day. I wish that we could play baseball on feild day because I like baseball.I just cant wait until feild day which is tomorrow.

I would show sportsmen ship by cheering and clapping when people are running and when they are finishing.I can't wait for the sandpit jump beacase everyone is cheering and everyone is trying there hardest to jump really far!I can't wait but I'm also don't like that after the 600 yard dash you feel like you are dieing it feeels good to run around though! The good thing is that you always get cheered on and I love that everyone try's there best and that's good! I also like the high jump until you mess up you get a little it!I think everyone is happy on field day no one has friendship fights also I don't like that sometimes people get hurt!

This is also Caitlyn's blog ^ I also wish we could play vollyball
ReplyDeleteA way I would show sportsmanship is that, even if a person didn't get a ribbon, you could congratulate them and encourage them to use that as a motivator. Also, you could show sportsmanship by cheering your teammates on. I would like to have hurdles as a field day event. I would want hurdles because it is like to 75' dash and the high jump put together, and it would be really thrilling to jump and run. I also wish we could do an agility test, where dodgeballs are thrown at you and you have to dodge them, also it would be a reat skill to learn. Austin
ReplyDeleteI will show sportsmanship by cheering everyone on. I will also not brag if I win and someone else loses. I am looking forward to the high jump. I am also looking forward to the long jump. I also like the relay race (baton race.) I like the softball throw too. I also really like the football kick. I wish that we could do a vollyball bop. I also like getting ribbons at the end.

I will show sportsmanship by cheering for everyone. Another way I can show sportsmanship is I can congratulate them even if they didn't win but I know they did their best. Something I am looking forward to is the 75 dash. Also I am looking forward to is the relay race. But I really cant wait for the long jump too. I'm also looking forward to the football kick. I wish that we could do hurdles. I also love getting the ribbons at the end because we get to know what place we got in all of the events.

I show my sportsmanship by cheering people on. Like in the relay race and on the high jump and also during the long jump. This year in field day I'm on the high jump! I love the high jump! On thusday I'm helping out the sixth graders because I got picked to be a field day helper.

I could show sportsmanship by motivating and encouraging people. As an example, if a person hit the bar on his first try on the high jump, you should encourage them and motivate them so that they can jump over the bar the next turn. I can also show sportsmanship by cheering EVERYBODY on. Even if my best friend is racing, you should still cheer everybody on. I was looking forward to the high jump because I think it is really fun to jump as high as you can and it is really exciting. I was also looking forward to the football throw because it isn't that competitive and it is the time when field day isn't as stressful as it is when you run the 600 meters or the 75 yard dash.

This field day I showed sportsmanship when others passed me while we were doing the 600, and I gave them a high five. While I was doing the 600, Xomai cheered me on, which showed sportsmanship on his part. When I did the long jump, everyone cheered me on, which made me happy since they showed sportsmanship. At the football throw, I did not think I would be able to throw the football that far. Anthony said to me that he knew I could throw it far. After he said that to me, I threw the football almost as far as anyone one did our class. All of these are examples of great sportsmanship.

On field day today i showed sportsmanship by cheering people on. Another way i showed sportsmanship was to give everyone a high-5 when they are done and say you did really good, nice job. i was looking forward to everything because i like all activites. To me , i think of field day as a activite day no learning just running.
ReplyDeleteso yeah. I had a fun day today.

If I was at field day today I would show sportsmanship by cheering everybody on. I would cheer them for all of the activities. The long jump, high jump, 75, and the 600. I was looking forward to the long jump and the 75 yard dash. I was looking forward to these activities because I like racing my friends and I like to see who could jump the farthest. I wish I felt better this morning so I could have gone to field day.

On field day, one way I showed sportsmanship was cheering everyone on. Another way I showed sportsmanship was when the girls in my group were waiting for long jump, we cheered on the boys doing the high jump. Something I looked forward to on field day was the 75 yard dash because it's fun. Another thing I was looking forward on field day was the relay because your on a team. I like being on teams. Plus, I like seeing our class beat Mrs. Wells' and Ms. Preston's class!

If I was at field day today I would show sportsmanship dy saying good job after somebody did something. I would do that to everone. field day is about sportmanship. We can all work with everone. Also it is not about the ribbon. It about teamwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Griffin
ReplyDeleteI think on feild day everyone did sportsmanship ever by saying good job. Hannah and Madlyen ran with me on the 600 and gave me courage to finish even thought I barly couldent breath. I helped Riley and Hannah by giving them their water. I realy enjoyed feild day and had lots of fun. I think someonr could even show it by saying you did great or doing something for them or helping.

One way I showed sportsmanship was cheering everybody on and hi five a lot of people after they ran.something I was looking forward to on field day was the Relay race and the 75 yard dash even though I got 3rd.I think everyone one did a very good job .I am very looking forward to field day next year.one bad thing though about field day was I forgot my jacket and was wearing short sleeve and and shorts.I was freezing to death. But I had fun anyways.

One way I showed sportsmanship is by saying good job. Another way I showed it was by not being a sore loser and I dno't think antone was. I was looking foward to being able to just be outside all day besides the fact that is was super cold outside. Another reason I was looking foward to it was because I love doing the long jump even though I did not get a ribbon for it this year I still liked doing it. One reason I did not enjoy field day was because it was freezing and I was wearing shor sleeves and shorts and I left my jacket at home.

I showed sportsman ship by cheering Ethan on in the 600 along with some others. I also enjoyed others cheering me on. I also liked the incredible team work all the groups did in the relay. Th only way I could dislike field day is if we didn't have it.
ReplyDeletejoey
If I had gone to field day I would cheer people on. I would not just cheer for one person but for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI would tell everyone good job even if they beat me at a ribbon that I really want. Last year when we got all of our ribbons we all got a ribbon for comming to field day. I even got one and I did not go. I think it was nice of Coach E to do that because if someone did not win a ribbon at all they can at least get one.

I showed sportsmanship by cheering everybody on in every event. I was most looking forward to Relay or 75-yard dash. I wanted to do Relay because it's a team competition and I like team sports. I also like 75 yard dash because I like to race and test my speed against other fast kids. I'm hoping I go to district.
ReplyDeleteI showed and many others did sportsmanship by cheering on people at field day. Also when we did the 700 yard dash if the people gave up and started walking i would go and help make them make it to the end. I'm not the only one who did though there were tons of kids helping encourage people. After I would race against someone I would say good job.
ReplyDeleteJulia
I saw alot of sportsmanship on feild day and I showed alot also. I showed sportsmanship by congratulating the people that I raced with. I also saw people doing the same thing as me and alot of other stuff. I also saw people doing other stuff besides congratulating people, I saw a girl that started to get tired because she had got out of breath and the other girl went and walked the rest of the way. That is the sportsmanship that I saw on feild day.
ReplyDeleteBen #23 :)
I saw a lot of sportsmanship because I saw people not braging when they won a race. I also people help others expecialy during the 600 because while peole were running others ran next to them and cheered. They even helped them if they had trouble breahting at the end. Lots of people cheered others on during the 75, 600, high jump, long, and all the other sporting events. No one was mean to anyone and as far as I know no one got laughed at either.

ReplyDeleteI was saying good job to ben. I was cheering for everyone on the 75 yard dash. I saw people saying haha i won and stuff. I see some people cheering at there friends.
I was cheering for everybody. Also, I saw people bragging that they got a really good score. And I saw people not in my group cheering people so loud I could hear them across the field!!! I think most people were cheering other people on. Everybody did a good job on field day.
