Climate Change

If you could design the perfect climate for Phoenix, what would it be?  Think about the temperature, the precipitation, the wind, the cloud cover and anything else you think would be important.  The climate you design can change with the seasons or be the same all year round.  Explain why you made the choices you did.  What would your favorite activity be to do in the climate you designed?

  1. If I could make the climate for Phoenix it would be cold year round. The precipitation would be snow or heavy rain. There would be a lot of snow in winter most of the time. Snow can still be year round in this climate. It wouldn't be very windy. People could build a snowman and kids can have fun. It wouldn't be as hot as it is now. The cloud coveredge wouldn't be very large most of the time. Somtimes the cloud coverage is huge. My favorite activity would be skiing in this climate. I would want the climate to be cold because it wouldn't be hot and humid. It would be better to see wildlife in this climate. Animals such as rattlesnakes hide in rocks or shady places. We would be able to see them easier. There still would be sun. I think this would be a great climate for Phoenix.

  2. If I could design the perfect weather for Phoenix, then I would make it be the exact same temperature, but make it rain at least 9 times every single month, and it would be just a little windy. I really love the weather here, especially in the fall, but in the summer, it is just a little too hot, so if it were to rain at least 9 times every month, then we would have something to cool us down if we do not have a pool. And besides, I love wind and rain and CLOUDS!!!!! Clouds are really cool and awesome, and with more rain, there has to be clouds, so then everyone will be happy! I would make this climate change for every single month besides in January and February, then it is really cold and I would still make it rain, I would just make the rain HOT!!! So then if you were ever cold and it was raining, it is like a taking a free shower!!!!! FOR FREE!!!! I think that that would be so cool and awesome!!!!! I love rain! And clouds. And wind. And of course RAIN!! I made these choices because I think that it would be a miracle if it actually happened. It would be so cool!!!! This world would not be so hot and terrorizing by the simple heat!!!! I mean, it's a simple dream, and anyone that lives in Phoenix should understand at least a little. WE NEED MORE RAIN!!!!!! And my favorite activity is drawing, but I still love clouds and wind! And did I mention that I LOVE RAIN!!!!!! If this climate change could happen in real life, then it would be a dream come true!!!! :)

  3. If I had the power to change the weather here, well it would be something, I don't know, familiar to me since I'm used to having 80% temperature every day, maybe 90% as the highest. Well, if were being specific here, I would have a slightly cloudy sky with clouds that pass, come and go. I would want a nice cold breeze that comes and go like the clouds. I also like rain once and a while. More than what happens here. I would like it to be a natural temperature of 80%-95% for the usual. If it's a cold day then 70% lowest. If hottest then 100% highest. If only this were true to happen. Well, that's my answer.(More like a dream).

  4. If I could make the climate for Phoenix, it would be between 70 and 80 degrees year round. It would be between 60's and 70's in the evenings. It would be sunny most of the time and and when it rains it would only rain at night. It would rarely be cloudy and not humid. If You wanted to see it snow than you could go to Flagstaff, the same as we do now. Even if it snowed here it would'nt be any fun because there is no suitable mountains for skiing and very few for sleding. It would also not be very cloudy. We would see many people move to Phoenix and there would be an increase in tourism.

  5. The weather in Phoenix would be between 32-75 degrees all year round. The only precipitation would be rain and snow, too. The clouds would be scattered, and covering 30-100% of the sky. There would always be a slight breese of wind. There would be 4 seasons, but Winter would be like spring but a little more snowy because I have always loved playing in snow! Summers would be from 70-75 degrees with a slight breese. Water would always be cold and fresh, too. And that is my dream climate of Phoenix AZ.

  6. If I could make a climate for Phoenix, I would say it would have to be about 73 degrees. It would snow every night and be sunny again by morning. When it snows it would be 15 degrees so the snow would stick. Some nights it would snow more than others so we could have snow days! When we didn't have snow days at recess, in school, it would sprinkle. So I would have to to say I love cold rain so the temperature for that would be 62 degrees. Having weather everyday like this would be perfect weather for me! I miss Colorado snow so that's why it would snow at night. It would sprinkle in the day because I absolutely love to run in light rain. Finally, it would be sunny in the morning because everyone needs nice fun weather! :)

  7. If I could make a climate for Phoenix, I would make the normal tempeture between 70 and 80 degress. It would be cloudy and half of the time rain. Sometimes snow from dusk till dawn. But there would still be some sunny days and beach like days. Kind of like Washington. It would be nice to have snow and more rain in Phoenix because we hardly ever get any. Sometimes, we need to be away from hot weather for a while. But I wouldn't change the winter besides wanting it to snow because it's so nice. It would be fun to have a climate change but I love the hot Arizona :)!

  8. The perfect climate for Arizona! Oh, don't even get me going on that cause I might just make it happen. I would make it snow!!! But not everyday of course just the days I wanted it to snow the other days would be sunny or cloudy or rainy or something. I would get together with a bunch of my friends and we would go sledding and have a snowman building contest or have a snowball fight. Also say I had just been outside in the snow and now I just inside getting warm I could finally have a mug of hot chocolate and get the sensational feeling of having my insides soothed. You know what I mean? Also there's this really fun place in my neighborhood and its just a giant mound of sand and I like to go there a lot and just imagine it covered in about a foot of snow. Oh, it would be a dream come true, sledding and snowmen and snow day galor! But I wouldn't make it like snowing hard outside I'd make it snow nicely and beautifly or id just make the snow fall at night and then we have big mounds of it in the morning play with! I don't knoe what the degrees level would be so lets just say the a low enough for it to snow and for the snow not to melt. But it wouldn't just snow during winter time it would snow when ever I wanted it to even in the summer for example if I was playing outside in the summer and it felt just so hot I'd just make it snow instantly. Even though it does sometimes snow in Phoenix it's not enough to have a snow day. LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!!

  9. I would make it warm not too hot not too cold but just right. We would be able to do more things outside. The drought would disappear and there would be more people visiting Arizona, more building would be built and be profitable. I would also make it rain to the point where there would be more lakes in Arizona. I would let my friends choose what the weather should be that day. That would be awesome to be able to do that!

  10. If I could make the perfect weather for phoenix it would be awesome. The highest temperature there would be would be 70 degrees. I think that woould be amazing. But in the winter it would be much colder so that it would snow. I love snow so much. You can literally make anything out of snow. Snow men, snow angels, snow balls anything. I would make it snow any day I would want. I would want it to be the most perfect amount of precipitation not to much not to little. Just a medium drizzle. Oh and also the cloud cover would be partly cloudy I mean come on who likes the blazing sun and no clouds not me. Some days I might want to have clouds every where. I don't like a ton of wind but I would really enjoy a light breeze. I just love the feeling on my skin. I would prabably mainly want it to be the same all year round except for the winter where it would SNOW. I chose this type of weather because When days like these come I have the best day and I always seem happier. It's almost like me and the weather are having a conversation. my favorite activity would be enjoying the fresh air by going to the park and walking my dog or riding my bike in my neighborhood. If only this could really happen. Gracie P

  11. The perfect weather for me would be 65 degrees. There would be a slight breeze. It would also be cloudy. The perfect weather for a day at a theme park. It would stay the same all the year round. I chose this because I think it is the perfect weather. I would go to a bunch of theme parks. You wouldn't be so hot while you were waiting. So that is my perfect weather.

  12. The perfect tempiture for Pheonix is 75 degrees. It would rain 3-4 times a month, and would snow in the winter. The clouds would show every once in a while. I would make it 15% humid. Every day the chance of rain will change. Also if I could make the summers less hot I would. Thanks for reading!

  13. I think the perfect climate in pheonix is about 75 degrees.Rain 5-8 times every month. On the day of no rain a slight cool breeze. it would be a little cloudy white fluffy clouds. In winter it would snow a lot no hail. And it would be perfect to make a snow man. that is what i think the perfect climate in AZ would be.

  14. I think that yhe perfect weather would be around 40-70 degrees everyday. This would make Arizona colder, so everyone could wear jackets! I would like it to rain about 1-2 times a month. Rain is cool in all, but have you ever been stuck at a park, while its pouring rain? Well I have. I think that most people in Arizona would want like 8-10 times a month, but that would flood, destroy, and kill crops. I think that a 20%-40% humidity level would be perfect. Therefore, it wouldn't be to dry, nor being too moist. For the winter months, I would like it to be cold to snow, but not cold enough to get piles of snow. You will probably disagree, but I will beg to differ. I believe too much snow isn't a good thing, because have you ever had your car buried on piles of snow? Well I surely have. This is my perfect weather. You may not like my perfect weather, but this is just my opinion.

  16. I think the perfect temperature for Arizona would be about 70 degrees. There would be a lot of cloud cover. I would like a lot of rain. Also, I wish it would snow a lot. If it snowed we could finally get to play. If it was colder, I think it would be perfect weather to play outside.

  17. I think the weather in Phoenix should be inbetween 20 and 75 degrees fahrenhite 0 humitity 50% chance of ran everyday until winter it would be 10% rain and 57% snow Plus if we had snow in the WInter then school would be canceled if it snowed alot I also think it would be nicer if ther was a 20 mph breese. Then you wouldnt have to stand in the shade to survive. plus the water would be more refrigerated.

  20. If I had the chance to change the climate of Arizona I would change it big time! in the winter Arizona should between 20-30 degrees because then it would snow and I love being in the snow. In the spring it should be between 65-85 because it would be so cool to have that kind of weather plus that is kinda San Diego weather and I love that type of weather. In the summer the weather should 85-96 degrees. In the fall the weather should be 50-70 degrees because the weather in the fall should be the best on my Birth day! The humidity in the winter should be at least 10%. The humidity in the spring should be at 20-25%. In the summer should be 20% at the most!In the fall the humidity should be 15%. That's what I would do If I could change the weather.

  21. I would choose Arizona would always be 60-65 degrees. The humidity would 15%. I would do this so it wasn't to hot or cold. The wind speed would be 3 miles per hour for a nice breeze. If I had from time to time I would put the tempature down to 50. Thats what I would do.

  22. The perfect weather would be around 83-89 degrees. In winter it would snow. Not enough snow for school to be closed, but enough to have an awesome recess. Every month it would rain at LEAST three times. The warmest it would ever get would be 90 degrees. The coldest would be 41 degrees.

  24. The weather that I would want to have to change in phoenix is have it cool in October and half of November. Then cold in December. Then frezing in Jan.,and Feb..Then in the spring it starts to get really rainy and nice. And lastly it would be 90 degres all summer.Oh also in the winter it would snow 2 inches deep. And it would get partly cloudy on nice and most of the cool days.I would love that so much its like California.I would also want a beach in Arizona that would be amazing. Also in the spring we would have fresh new green grass that would be perfect with no bugs.JUST REMEMBER,"OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRITEFUL"(from the song let it snow).

  25. If I would be able to change the weather in Phoenix I would make it snow and rain and have it windy a little bit. First, I would want it to snow here is because it never snows and if it ever does it doesn't even pile it just melts right when it hits the ground. The closest think we have to snow is hail, and it is not even close it snow. Second, I would want it rain because then it would actually rain! It never rains in Phoenix. Whenever it rains I am always in class or sleeping or it rains for 5 seconds and then it stops as usual! Last, I would want it to be a little bit windier because it rarely has a just relaxing breeze. Or at least a really strong wind so that it would be cooler. Oh yeah and I would also just want it to be like 30% humidity because if it is to dry my hair gets all static and it is just really dry. That is what I would do if I could change the weather in Phoenix

  27. If I had the chance to change the weather for Phoenix, I would make it sunny and cool all the time! I would make it 85 degrees or under. In the winter it would be low enough to snow and in the summer it would rain sometimes but it would mostly be sunny. I would like this weather because I like sunny and cool days. The winter is another story, In the winter I would have it snow because I love playing in the snow. I love the spring because everything is blooming and it is so beautiful! In the spring I would make the weather nice and cool so you can sit out on your porch and watch the sunrise and set. The fall is a beautiful time where leaves turn colors and fall off of trees. I would have the fall be nice and cool were you can enjoy jumping into piles of leaves and relaxing. The humidity would be very low because humidity makes it seem hotter. The chance of rain for each day would be 48%. In conclusion, If I had the choice to change the weather in Pheonix I would!

  29. If I could change the weather in Phoenix I would make it spring all year round. With of course taking away all the allergy trees away. You know the ones that spread pollen. So any way I would make it half spring and half winter. So the first six months would be spring while the other six are winter.Oh and I would make it snow half the winter. And during the spring I would make every flower in AZ sprout. So half the year you would be out side in the sun getting a tan and then the other half of the year you would be inside enjoying a steaming hot cup of hot chocolate and sitting by the fire.

  30. If I could change the climate in Phoenix, I would make it snow and rain. The reason I would make it snow is because we never get snow. The reason I would make it rain is because it is dry here and hot. When it snowed, I would make a snowman and play hockey and go skating and go sledding.

  31. If I could make the perfect I would make it snow because I would like play In the snow. Then we could have a snow day and there would be no school. Then we could all make snowmen and have snowball fights. It would be fun because Phoenix hardly get any snow. Boy would it be fun if Arizona got snow. I wonder if Phoenix will ever get snow because I would love to see it snow here.

  32. If I could change the weather I wouldn't change it a lot. I wouldn't change it a lot because we are lucky that we don't have any tornados, hurricanes, etc. If I changed the climate drastically to snow e might have blizzards, which after a while might get annoying. But, I would make it Raina lot more and sometimes snow, and maybe a little more clouds in the sky to look at. For sure I would make some more breezes because I love breezes because whenever I go hiking and Theres a breeze I feel on top of the world. Arizona could use a little weather change, but I like my dusty, hot Arizona home pome.

  33. If I could control the waether I would change that it would be nice out in the summer and spring and have it be cold in the winter and maby have it snow then I could snowboard. ALSO NO SNOW MEANS NO SCHOOL! :) Also I would make it rain. I wish I could realy change the weather. In the spring I would make there be lots of cooool brezes in summer also. But I love Arizona just the way it is.

  34. I think that the perfect weather for Phoenix would be have it always in the 80 or 70. I think that that would be nice because it isn't to hot or too cold. I also would want us to actually have winter. I would want it to snow and rain. I hope that it starts to rain more. I think that it shouldn't be so hot in the summer either have it be a little more cool so you can enjoy it and actually do things. If I could change the weather thats how I would like it.
